Timothy Hammar is an attorney and partner with the law firm of Angel, Coil & Bartlett. His law practice focuses on probate and estate planning, personal injury and insurance disputes, business acquisition and formation, property, and contract law.
Mr. Hammar was born and raised near Seattle, Washington. While a youth, Mr. Hammar received the Eagle Scout Award. As a college freshman he attended Montana State University and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Communications, Broadcast-Journalism emphasis, from Brigham Young University-Idaho in Rexburg, Idaho. He graduated with distinction from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan where he received his law degree. While in law school, Mr. Hammar was selected to serve as an intern for the Sixty-Plus, Inc. Elderlaw Clinic. As an intern for the clinic, he represented and advocated for individuals over the age of sixty on a wide range of civil matters including litigation, estate planning, Medicare and Medicaid issues, landlord-tenant disputes, consumer rights, contractual issues and probate matters.
Mr. Hammar is admitted to the State Bar of Montana and the U.S. District Court for the District of Montana. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Montana Trial Lawyers Association, and the Gallatin County Bar Association.
Mr. Hammar loves spending time with his wife, Kacey, their twin girls and new baby boy. In his spare time he enjoys golfing, fishing, hunting, and playing basketball.
